NO SHOW & CANCELLATION POLICY

The term “No show” refers to an appointment missed by a client.

The term “Cancellation” describes an appointment canceled by a client with less than 24 hours notice. The term “Late” refers to a client with a scheduled appointment that arrives 5 minutes late for a 15 minute appointment, or 10 minutes late for a 30 minute appointment.

With the ever increasing demands for veterinary services, and very limited availability, and with the ever increasing amount of “no shows” along with same day cancellations, a charge will be assessed to a client's account for any missed appointments or cancellations.

Any appointment that is marked "No Show" or has a "Late Cancellation" will be charged the full examination fee.

Here at Fircrest, we strive to provide the most accommodating and fair services to all patients and clients. Our goal is to provide the most timely care we can, in respect not only to the doctor’s schedule but the ever growing demand for appointments. If an appointment must be canceled, we do ask that more than 24 hour notices are given. This can be done by call, phone message, email, or text message. This will allow us to accommodate other patients and clients who may need care that day.

For current clients, appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice, or has an appointment marked "No Show", will result in a charge equal to the full exam fee. We understand that extenuating circumstances do arise. Please discuss with a front desk staff member for additional information.

In the event that a client arrives late to their appointments, we will check with the veterinarian to assess if your pet will be able to be seen that same day. If they cannot, the appointment will be scheduled for a future visit.  Should this happen more than twice in a single calendar year, the examination fee will be assessed to your client account. A client will be required to prepay for a scheduled appointment if they “No show” twice in a row in one calendar year.

“Same day” appointments refer to an appointment that is scheduled the day of. These appointments are set aside for sick patients, and cannot be rescheduled. A client who “No shows” for a “Same day” appointment will be charged a $75 fee.

For new clients, a deposit equaling the amount of the first examination fee is required for scheduling. All deposits are fully refundable within a 24 hour notice to reschedule or cancel.  Upon a late cancellation or an appointment marked as a “No Show”, the deposit paid will then be void. At the event that a new client arrives late for their pre-scheduled appointment, this appointment will be rescheduled for a future visit when available. Should this happen again at the next appointment, any future services will no longer be provided.

An $85 charge will be assessed to a client's account if a scheduled surgical procedure is not canceled with at least 48 hours notice. An $85 charge will also be assessed to a client's account for any "No shows" on a scheduled surgical procedure. Preanesthetic bloodwork is ran prior to any procedure to assess the health and safety of your pet. Preanesthetic bloodwork is only valid for 14 days prior to a scheduled anesthetic procedure. If a surgery is a "No show", canceled or rescheduled past the 14 days, a bloodwork charge will be assessed to the clients account.

Any client with 3 or more 'No shows" in a 90 day period will have any and all veterinary services discontinued.
